Frugal Bottle in North America

Ready to move beyond glass?
Meet the Frugal Bottle – the lower-carbon paper bottle for wines, spirits and olive oils now made in North America.
If you’re a wine, spirits or beverage producer looking for an alternative to glass, the Frugal Bottle offers a radically different approach to packaging.
Made from recycled paperboard, the Frugal Bottle has a carbon footprint up to 84% lower than a glass bottle and is around five times lighter, while its printable paperboard outer gives brands a striking 360° canvas for design and storytelling.
And now it’s made closer to your market.
Frugal Bottles are manufactured in North America by Monterey Wine Company in King City, California, and KinsBrae Packaging in Cambridge, Ontario, using Frugalpac’s Frugal Bottle Assembly Machines.
That means North American beverage producers can explore paper packaging with established manufacturing capability in both the United States and Canada.
From innovation to the shelf
The Frugal Bottle isn’t a concept. It’s already being used commercially by wine and spirits brands and has appeared in major North American retailers including Target, 7-Eleven, Whole Foods, LCBO and Total Wine & More and has been covered by CBS News, ABC and NBC.
For brands considering moving away from glass, the proposition is simple:
