“It makes perfect business sense for our manufacturing to be based in the UK,” says Malcolm Waugh, CEO of recyclable packaging specialist, Frugalpac.

“We’re a UK-based business and having the facility in Wrexham will enable our engineering team and product designers to have better control over the quality of our products.”

The firm’s Wrexham-based facility will start manufacturing Frugalpac’s best-known product, the Frugal Cup at the beginning of January.

The Frugal Cup is the only paper coffee cup that’s recyclable in the mainstream waste process. It’s a revolutionary design that’s already attracted an enviable amount of interest.

“The Frugal Cup’s been attracting attention for some time,” says Malcolm Waugh. “We’re delighted that we’re now coming to market.”
